Incubation of sample with reagent carried out in the holding coil (SHC protocol) or in the flow cell (SFC protocol) is visualized here by using enzymatic assay of glucose, based on formation of the red reaction product. In SHC mode (top) reaction mixture enters the holding coil from below and after 30 seconds stop flow incubation time is flushed out by rapid flow reversal. In SFC mode (below) following turn of the valve the reaction mixture enters the flow cell from right and after 30 seconds stop flow incubation time the flow cell is flushed to left.
